Parent Involvement Committee

Our Parent Involvement Committee met this past Tuesday, October 7th, at 5:30 pm. PIC does amazing work that directly benefits each Peace Bridge student through things like fundraising, special event planning, and BINGO volunteering. If you are interested and want to know more about what PIC is all about, take a look at the PIC Info Sheet that was provided at our first meeting. Please consider getting involved. The next PIC meeting is on Oct. 21st at 5:30 pm in the Library Learning Commons, and we would love to have your voice at the table.

Heritage Months and Special Celebrations

The DSBN recognizes that our students come from a variety of backgrounds and rich lived experiences. As part of that, we acknowledge, all year long, the different communities that make up our bigger Peace Bridge Community. October is Islamic Heritage Month as well as Hispanic Heritage Month, and we are excited to give our Peace Bridge students who come from those communities the opportunity to share who they are with their peers. We also know that a very important celebration is coming up for our Hindu students next week, and that is: Diwali! We want Peace Bridge to be a place where every student feels like they belong, and that they can share about their family's traditions and celebrations. If you, as a parent, want to connect with us and help your child share more about your family's traditions, please email pbr@dsbn.org, as we would love to feature your family as part of celebrating all our students, all year long, here at Peace Bridge.

If you celebrate Thanksgiving this weekend, we hope it is a lovely time with friends and family. Know that we are deeply grateful to have your children entrusted to us every day.

Sincerely,

Liz Bonisteel-Lateef (she/her)

Welcome to Kindergarten- DSBN

Peace Bridge Public School is very fortunate to receive charitable funding by volunteering at our local Delta Uncle Sam’s Bingo Hall. We appreciate the opportunities that this initiative enables us to offer our school community through funding from Bingo revenues.  The benefits that are offered through this initiative provide our students with various enrichment opportunities that support clubs and competitions, athletic programs, assemblies, presentations, transportation for trips and sporting events and many other resources as determined at our regular meetings.
