Greetings, Peace Bridge Community, 

It's been a wonderful week in our Peace Bridge community. Our week ended with another successful Star Student Assembly, and it was such a joy to honour our amazing Polar Bears and their positive contributions to Peace Bridge. It was really heart-warming to read what our teachers shared about their students and to see proud families and caregivers celebrate with us! We are also excited to give Class of the Week a second time to Ms. Sneek's Grade 6 Class. Every time we enter their classroom, Ms. Sneek's students are working hard and learning. Recently, they have been gearing up for their upcoming EQAO assessments, learning more about surface area in Math and expanding their story-writing skills. We are so excited to see these junior students become next year's Intermediates and continue growing as the leaders of our school.

Track and Field Food Ordering and Permission

If your child is in Grades 4–8, our Track and Field Day is coming up on May 13. Please take the time to complete your child’s participation permission form, either through School Cash Online or by returning the hard copy permission form that comes home on Monday.

As the majority of our Junior/Intermediate staff, along with both administrators, will be supervising students at the Track and Field meet, we encourage families of students who are not planning to participate to consider keeping their child home for the day if possible. We appreciate your understanding and support as we work to ensure appropriate supervision for all participating students.

Shake Into Spring Dance-A-Thon

Our Dance-A-Thon is right around the corner, and we are SO excited for students to help raise funds toward building a new outdoor classroom and movement space at Peace Bridge! Please take a look at our Shake Into Spring Dance-A-Thon pledge form, which will be coming home in hard copy this week, along with an envelope for collecting cash donations. Students can begin raising funds right away by sharing information with family and friends, including our option for online donations shared in the details linked above. 

All participating students will have the opportunity to be entered into prize draws for some fantastic prizes, including our GRAND PRIZE: A BRAND-NEW COMPUTER!

Class Planning Form

Thanks to all those who took the time to fill out the Google form provided to help us prepare for class planning.  While we cannot guarantee that all requests can be accommodated, all submissions will be reviewed and thoughtfully considered as part of our class organization process. Once class lists are finalized and shared with families in late August/early September, it is very difficult to make changes to placements.
