Parent Council Message:
A big thank you to everyone who joined us for our first Parent Council meeting of the 2026/2027 school year! We’re excited for the year ahead and have many fun activities, events, and opportunities planned for our students and school community.
We are always looking for more volunteers to get involved! Whether you can help with Bingo shifts, Pancake Days, Popcorn Days, our Spring Fair, or the school’s new Breakfast Program, every bit of help makes a difference. Even volunteering for just one event or shift is greatly appreciated!

Breakfast Club Volunteers Wanted
Welcome to our GFESS Co-op Student:
Welcoming a familiar face back to our school community! We are excited to introduce Dylan, a Grade 11 student from GFESS who is completing a full-day Co-op placement at Peace Bridge. As a former student of our school, it has been wonderful to welcome him back in a new role. Dylan is working in our Grade 1/2 classroom, where he enjoys supporting students, building positive relationships, and learning new skills each day. He hopes to pursue a career as a mechanic after graduation, and his Co-op experience is helping him develop valuable leadership, communication, and teamwork skills. When asked what it feels like to return to Peace Bridge, he shared that he loves seeing many of his former teachers and appreciates the opportunity to give back to a school community that played an important role in his life. One of his favourite moments so far has been realizing the positive impact he can have on younger students each day. He is looking forward to continuing his learning journey while helping others grow and succeed. We greatly appreciate Dylan’s dedication and commitment to our school and are excited to see all that he accomplishes in the future!
JK/SK Dental Screening and Fluoride Varnish Applications
Niagara Region Public Health’s Dental Program will be visiting our school on November 11, 2026 to provide FREE dental screening and fluoride varnish to all JK/SK students. Fluoride varnish treatment is a safe and protective coating that helps prevent cavities.
Participation in the dental screening and fluoride varnish program is important for your child’s oral health, even if your child sees the dentist regularly and is covered under insurance.
To give consent, complete the Online Medical History and Consent Form (link #1) by October 23, 2026.
• When asked “Where is your child receiving dental services”, select School (JK or SK Dental Screening and Fluoride Varnish)
What to expect during the visit
A registered dental hygienist will check your child’s teeth and apply fluoride varnish
• A letter with your child’s screening results will be sent home, including any referrals/recommendations for follow-up care
Please note: Dental screenings do not replace a full dental examination by a dentist.
