Greetings, Peace Bridge Community!

After two shortened weeks, we are looking forward to entering a month of routines and consistency. As the final months of our academic year begin, we are encouraging our students to really make these weeks count as we push forward with academic concepts, assessment data is gathered for Term 2 report cards, and standardized testing begins for our Grade 3 and 6 students. Thank you for the effort you all put into getting your child(ren) to school on time, every day. It makes a huge, positive impact! A special congratulations to this week's Class of the Week: Mrs. Marr and Mrs. Rego's Kindergarten Class! K-1 has been growing and learning so much this year. They are learners, and every time anyone visits their classroom, they want to share what they are working on. We are so proud of them! Enjoy Shiver this week, K-1!

AND before reading up on what's coming up at Peace Bridge, take a moment to read our Gymnastics Team Update which includes recent highlights from two days of competition and incredible success for our Polar Bear athletes! Thank you to Mrs. Bell for her stellar coaching efforts and the way she has grown our gymnastics program over the past two years. Mrs. Bell has taken her own passion and personal experience as a competitive gymnast and instilled not only incredible skills in our students but also hard work, determination and courage. We are also grateful to our Parent Involvement Committee for all their financial support of our team. From purchasing new gymnastic equipment to providing transportation for the team to and from the competition meet in St. Catharines, we couldn't have done it without our amazing Parent Council!

Shiver's Spectacular Market and Fair!

Can you believe it is already that time of year? Time for our annual spring Peace Bridge Parent Involvement Committee Event, Saturday, May 23rd, which has been renamed this year: "Shiver's Spectacular Market and Fair." If you follow our Peace Bridge PIC Facebook page, you will have noticed our Parent Committee promoting this event. Please plan to attend and bring family and friends for a wonderful day that blends a Vendor's Market and a Fun Fair. Each Peace Bridge student receives a free hot dog and water, and there are still opportunities for vendors if you or anyone you know was hoping to participate. Your child will be bringing home a colour-printed event flyer for you to hang on your fridge as a reminder or give to someone else as an invite. We really hope to see you on Saturday, May 23rd!

Public Health Dental Screenings THIS WEEK!

Just a reminder that the Niagara Region Public Health Dental Program will be providing dental screenings for students in grades JK, SK, 2, 4, and 7 and fluoride varnish to JK/SK students on April 15 & 16, 2026. Information was sent to families via School Messenger on March 27th. Families who do not wish for their child(ren) to participate must complete the School Dental Screening Opt-Out Form online, or call the Dental Health Line at 905-688-8248 or 1-888-505-6074 ext. 7399.
